When does your fuel light come on?

I'm curious when people's low fuel warning lights start to come on because mine seems like it's really early. The light came on after only 350miles or so and I drove it another 30 miles and still only put in 24 gallons. Out of a 34gallon tank that seems like it's really early. Anyone else have a similar thing or do I have something wrong?

Never seen the light. Try to fill up at half tank or at worst quater tank. These sending units are known to be not very accurate. Better safe then sorry

Hmm, they seem to be all over the place, I guess I'll just keep filling up at 1/4-1/8th tank and or 400 miles and not worry.

Cant let mine come on. If it does I am about to walk. I have the draw straw II, and before that I could run it until the light came on which is about 1/8th tank.

Gauge was almost to E though.

comes on about 1/8th left, almost always shows up as 100km till empty on the overhead.

do these trucks have a reserve once the distance to empty is at 0km or the needle has no more room to fall?

mine is about the same as the 1/8th guys....i know i shouldnt run it that low but i have never had a problem. i usually see it at 80mi till empty on the overhead...which is about 4-5 gal left in the tank....(could be better if i could keep my foot off the skinny pedal...and my truck isnt even bombed...)
