Whats it worth? 95 reg cab 4x4 dually
I have a chance to pick up a 95 Ram 3500 Dually 4x4 w/ meyers 8' plow on it for $6800.00
Here are the facts and I want to know what I should pay for it.
95 4x4 12V Dually truck
183K miles
SLT Laramie
auto
midnight blue
tires pretty new
used to plow for last 4 years
rust hole in right front fender behind wheel well
rust on bottom of both doors
rockers and cab corners solid and clean.
dualy fiberglass fenderwells busted up.
new brake lines up front
new tranny cooler lines
broken fuel shutoff solenoid, has manual cable pull installed
seat torn on drivers side
no headliner
meyer 8' plow that is 4 yrs old and only has a few square inches of paint shined off the front of it and the cutting edge is not rounded at all.
starts and runs well, is a work truck that I'll be using for similar duty but I'll also be installing a gooseneck hitch to move cattle and trailers from one farm to the other.

It sounds like a reasonable deal. Kinda hard to tell without seeing it's condition. Just keep in mind that you will have to put some money into maintenance for any used truck you buy. This one sounds like it would need a little more attention. But it does have new tires so that's a big plus. If it runs good, I'd say go for it. For the price, it's pretty low mileage.

I ended up waiting the guy out and got this truck for $5600.00 I'll post some pics... like you said it still needs some work.
* Calipers on front brakes were dragging on the way home. I figure this is from sitting and if I didn't get them too hot I may be able to tear them apart and grease the sliders and what not.
* looks like a vaccum hose from the front diff was draggin on the ground when I pulled in the drive... probably have to replace that.
* needs front end work and alignment. Any special tools to do the ball joints in that truck?
Thanks, Jim
