From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Your foot is the biggest detriment of milage. Has there been a sudden change in milage?? Can you get near 20 on the road? Milage generally declines in cold weather.

I bought the truck about 2 or three weeks ago and have run two tanks thru her, it has the 3.54 gears and no mods at all with stock tires, i have been as easy on the foot as i can without getting run over, air cleaner is new and i had the fuel filter changed when i purchased it, Ive had two other 12v that both got about 18 in town and 21 on the road, but they were both 2wds, i had a 97 4x4 with a lift and 35s that got 15 in town and about 18 on the road depending on my foot, So this one has me stumped the first tank i got about 12mpg but that was due to the master cylinder hangin the brakes up, the 2nd tank got about 14mpg with about 90miles of road driving and the rest in town. now this tank barely has 300miles on it and im on a quarter of a tank so i will know tomorow what this tank yields, but judging from the needle its not going to be very good, Is there anything i can change, check or do to get better?

Try different brands of fuel, I see a couple of MPGs difference between brands.
I see 12 MPG during city driving on winter fuel, and see as high as 22 MPG during Hwy. driving on summer fuel.
I do know this, the ULSD around here automatically kills almost 2MPG summer or winter.
I would first give it a good dosing of Power Service, extra heavy for the first couple of tanks, then back off to the recommended dose and check your mileage again, you could have dirty Injectors as well.

Filled the tank again today and got 13.3 mpg all city driving, OUCH! im in east texas and dont really have a prob with cold air that often, might get into the 30s for a coulple of days but for the most part it stays warmer, I will definatly try a different brand on the next tank and add some cleaner to the tank and hopefully that will help, I looked uder the truck today and noticed it had a catalytic converter on the truck, dosnt seem to run like its stopped up, has anyone heard of one stoppin up on a diesel?

I get the same mileage as you. Stock size tires. If I drive it good I'll get 14.7 mpg. Otherwise 13 or so. Maybe my fuel injectors are dirty? I think it's just how these 4x4 ext. cabs are. I had a 2wd, reg cab 5spd that got a little over 18 mpg in town driving like a grandpa. This truck will never see that kind of mileage.
