I cant really say what is a good tire on mine cause they always seem to go up in smoke. The future wife is running Hankook Dynapro Rt03 M/T 285/75r16. They have 48k on them with a somewhat hard life cause it does do good burnouts..... they have 5/32 left on them with all local driving. Rotated EVERY oil change.

For daily driving and general use, Ive have very good luck with BFG M/T's.
My wife runs 36x12.50x16.5 on her Excursion and I run 33x12.50x16.5 on my Dodge.
Had 'em on my truck now for about 7 years and they are roughly half tread life. The wife's are newer, about three years now and still look very new.
They dont make obnoxious noise and good bite in the snow and rain. Probably not great for mileage, but I havent had any reason to complain.
I also ran BFG M/T's - 33x12.50x16.5 on my first diesel (a GMC) which I had for about 10+ years (on the same set of tires). I drove that truck in to the ground. I traded that truck in with 405k and just about the only thing of any real value left on her were those tires.
Ive also ran BFG A/T's on a Suburban years ago, but I'll have to agree with a previous post in that those A/T's just didnt seem to hold up as well as the M/Ts.

Just installed Goodyear Wrangler duratrac aggressive tread 285/75/16. They seem great so far. Had the stock Mopar steering gear replaced. Added a Darrin's Steering Gear Stabilizer Kit, and a Moog Trac Bar. My local front end shop said they have tried every aftermarket steering gear, but the stock Mopar Steering gear with the darrin's stabilizer bracket is the best setup they have found. The steering is great now!!! I have Monroe Reflex shocks ready to go on this weekend to replace the original black stock ones with 109,000 miles on them. Can't wait not to bounce anymore!

I am currently running BFG KM2's in a 35/12.5r17 and I love em! They are wearing very nice and are really quiet to boot! Not that I can hear anything over the engine anyway!

255/85r16
I just bought a set of lt255/85r16 mud terrain km2's for my 94 dually 4x4. Is anyone running these? I was told the size is great because no spacers are required in the rear and it is still a 33" tall tire. I did not want to run spacers and have to deal with my truck covered in mud, and throwing rooster tails all the time.
I am confused why so many people have an issue with death wobble. What is death wobble like? I have 315/75r16 all terrains on my 2500, it has 205k miles, stock steering gear (could have been replaced, but is the stock setup) and never any death wobble. I find it hard to believe you can blame this on BFG tires. They are made by Michelin for cryin out loud.

I'm on my 2nd set of Yokohama Geolandar ATs and really happy with them. I can't give the exact mileage as I used the old set for Summer tires only this year and last but the 2nd. set is barely broken in and it's 160 000 km (100 000 miles) on the truck since the first set went on. 1st. set were Geolandar AT IIs and the 2nd. set are Geolandar ATSs. Neither are great in mud but okay on gravel or rock and good on the road. The ATSs seem to do better with ice or dry snow. The AT IIs did better with wet snow or excessive water here on the Wet Coast.
I might try the Toyo A/Ts next time around based on recommendations from friends but I don't have to decide til around this time next year.
Cheers! Randy.

I have run both Toyo Mt's, and Nitto Terra Grapplers. Both wore out with no abuse in under 20K miles. I now have som Hankooks. I hope they last a while longer.

I found a tire that has served me well so far. Winston Winner, excellent traction in mud and snow. Very quiet and great wear. Best of all is that they are around $115/tire and when you have to buy 6 it's a bargain.

I run 285-75-16 Sport King AT Steel Radials. They have a good all terrain tread, not to noisy, and will last 80 to 90,000 miles. I have been running this brand for about 20 years and never had any problems.
