Now that i have your attention what brand of tires are you using on your rig? I currently have Bridgestone V Steel MIX 235/85R16. They were built in 1997 and I have over 102,000kms on them and have never had a flat. The rears are getting a little thin but the fronts still have probably another 20,000kms left on them but they are really starting to show stress cracks so I think it's time to change. I would buy another set in a heartbeat but they don't make them anymore probably because they last too long.
I was wondering if anyone has tried the newest Goodyear Wranglers and how they like them or what is your best tire in your oppinion.

hahahahahaha I read your thread and was like WHAT?! lol... I have had my Maxxis Bighorns for 31,000 miles so far and still half of my tread left... I think thats pretty good for being an aggressive mud terrain tire

I don't spend too much time in the mud but a lot in the snow so winter traction is most important and I carry a fair bit of weight most of the time.

I will tell ya one thing about the maxxis bighorns, they already have the holes in them for studs, something that I will never need in Texas but thought I would share that with ya. I dont usually go mudding much. I mainly have mud terrains for when I go out to our ranch to go huntin cause its nothin but muddy pastures. Also for when I pull my trailer with the four wheelers to go to ATV parks some of the terrain to get to some of the campgrounds can be pretty muddy as well.

I've got 70k on the rears of my 2wd Dually with plenty more to go. They are Cooper Discoverer ATRs. They have a 50k warranty and they are great in the rain, with enough bite for light off-road/ranch use. Mostly highway driving, and not alot of heavy loads on them. I bought a matching pair for the front about 40k ago. They held up great with tons of tread left, but my worn ball joints and shocks ate up the outer edges. I just replaced the front two tires with Primewell PA100's from Firestone and replaced my ball joints and shocks with a fresh alignment, so we'll see how they last. They were the cheapest tire they had at $115 each (235/85/16) Seem to be really good so far, but I've only got about 650 miles on them.

I run 235-85-16 on both of my 97's, BFG ATs and Cooper Discoveror ST

Like the Coopers, pretty aggressive tread, cannot say a single thing bad about the BFGs either, perhaps because they are tall and skinny?

Doubt either will give you more than 30-35K miles

I have run two sets of Bridgestone Dueler Revos and got 60k out of both sets. They were awesome tires some of the best I have ever run. Really good dry, wet and snow. Only ok in the mud. I felt I needed a better mud tire and switched to Toyo m55's. While they did do great in all conditions they were a bit too noisy for me they lasted over 50k as well. This last time I put on the michelin at2's. So far they are great. I dont think they are going to do well in the mud though but we shall see. Cant comment on snow and mud as we havent had any yet since I put them on. However dry and wet they are great and very quiet.

245/75/16 Goodyear MTR's. No spacers and rears do not touch under load. Bought them used. Couldnt pass up the deal. Very tough tire. I can't really vouch for them as far as mud goes but decent on road manners

Cooper Stt 23/32 tread depth supposed to be great in snow, 255/85 if you want something taller.

I like my BFG AT-KO's. I have run through 2 sets, and they only seem to last about 50,000km. But the soft rubber does that, and I will pay for it for the winter traction. Pretty decent on gravel, little slick on wet pavement, but that could be better controlled with the right foot...

i got 285/75/16 wrangler mtrs i like em i got over 30k on them with still half tread. i have great luck on mud snow and wet roads.

A friend of mine has them on his new Chevy 3500 4x4. Rode real nice, not a lot of road noise. He did say they were excellent in the rain. Will put them on mine next time around when these LTX AT2's wear out.
