Well i went and did it...

I had to order a new

PCM for my rig.. It wouldnt start as of an hour ago, all connections are ok, batteries are new, and the key forward wont do anything... no plugs, no gauges, no clicks, no nothing.... Well i hate it, but i had to fork out 465 for a new pcm... should be here monday..

Ouch! That sux! Sorry for the misfortune of it dieing on April fools day... Trucks got you fooled! For about $500 bucks!

i only paid less then 200 for the pcm on my old 98 you better check that price again

Or you can buy the upgraded aftermarket PCM. It is programmed to enhance both power and economy. Don't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

No aftermarket pcms for a 12 valve and hard to find a rebuilt since the 12 valve pcms rarely fail.

Since the key won't do anything this indicates the problem isn't the pcm, I've driven several 12 valves with no pcm at all, they still start and run. Could be as simple as needing a new key switch or the connector to it pulled apart from tilting the steering wheel.

I bet your pcm is fine, it's problems are more often due to the female connectors to it being stretched out so they make poor contact due to repeated removals or probing with a voltmeter. The dealer is quick misdiagnose a bad pcm and people waste their money on a new one to find they still have the same problem.
Having a bad connection or bad engine speed sensor will also cause no pcm functions as it tells the pcm the engine isn't running.
