they all leak for a few days, amazing how much gear oil can leak into that tube . The first one I did I thought I damaged the in-board seal and was going to have to replace it. After about a week it magicly stopped leaking. Park with the passenger side down and stuff a rag in the knuckle at night for a couple of days .

THanks for the info guys, I am going to have to get a Haynes, or something before I try this. I don't want to cause more damage trying to fix it and make it worse.It has been a long time since I worked on the front axle of a 4x4. I am a little nervous. How long does this job take the average shade tree mechanic? I can take that number, and multiply it 2 or 3 and see how long it should take me. Thanks, Marv.
