Question Typical Stock EGT and Boost Readings.

I just completed the Quad Commander install on my basically stock 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 HO with a 4” MBRP exhaust system. The unit works great. No surprise on the fuel pressure, the recent warranty replacement of the lift pump with the in tank pump yields only 5 psi at idle, and you know the rest. The water temp matches the stock dash gauge. I was surprised with the EGT readings. What is typical for a stock 2002 HO Dodge? I hit 1300 on a HWY hill I travel up each week end. I thought this was kind of high. I have a 1600 lb slide in pop up camper, and tow a 2600 lb ski boat, but this seems minimal compared to what I see other rigs hauling, and I do clean and change the Fleet Guard air filter regularly.

I was also surprised at the boost reading. With the recommended high warning setting at 30psi I was surprised to only see as much as 19 at WOT. Is this typical? I know elevation plays a part in this as I regular drive mountain interstates in the 8000 to 13,000 elevation range.

Just curious what other have experienced.

Thanks

Your EGT's could be normal, it just depends if you were lugging the engine to get up the hill. Boost is normal for a stock engine. I don't know for an '02, but on mine I had to put on a boost fooler and j-hook (auto) to get more boost (@30) at WOT. With more boost, your EGT's will lower.
