Truck wants to drift to the right....Whats's Out of Adjustment?
I've tried every adjustment possible that I know I know of for about the past year, but my truck still seems to want to drift to the right.
Truck really likes to pull to the right when there is a large crown in the road.
I know what caused this problem, but can't seem to fix it. I hit a curb at an angle on the drivers side about a year ago & ever since then it has pulled to the right.
I've had it in the shop two times & had an alignment done & have put new tires on it.
I've checked the toe in/out & it seems to be fine & within spec. I've also tried changing the caster adjustment to make sure that the caster didn't get out of adjustment.
Anybody have any suggestions about what could be out of adjustment that was caused by hitting the curb on drivers side & would cause it to drift to the right now? I'm pretty certain that nothing is bent & all the steering components are in great shape. I've only got 40,000 miles on the truck.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I bought a lifetime alignment from Firestone so I'd have access to a machine. That said, now that everything is new, mine is acceptable, (not great). What specs did the shop align yours to? All of this is argued about frequently on the forums. Look at the specs at Genos for a starting point - but I think there was an error there.

Check your tire pressure. When you hit a curb like that, especially at an angle your tire will sometimes "burp" air.
Any time any vehicle of mine consistently drifts to one side the first thing I always check is the tire pressure on the side it's drifting to.

i do know that when the brakes are applied it doesn't really have any effect on the truck pulling to one side or another.
it just always seems to have a constant pull to the right when driving normally & the steering wheel is let go of. Usually on roads with crowns you have to constanly keep pressure on the steering wheel to the left to keep it straight. it also has a slight amount of bumpsteer.
when you hit a speedbump even lightly & trucks comes back down the steering wheel with pull to the right a few degrees.
