truck buying blues
the intake heater doesnt work correctly the ford dealer i bought the truck from said they would look at it but i dont trust them they gave the speel about it was already gone thru an inspection
now they want to change my financing from 60months
t0 48
after i already signed papers im thinking about taking it back and letting them have it.i paid 15,000 it has 99800 miles on it and a few dents and scrathes, slt larmie ext cab 2500 4x4 did i pay to much? it needs a tail pipe and i can tell the drivers side has been painted but nothing comes up on car fax
what to do what to do?
i hate dealers and the worst is they have my wifes 2001 diesel jetta that we traded in. I'm majorly bummed out about this I'm leaning towards trying to find a diffrent dealer and a diffrent truck (dodge cummins of course) if i can get my wifes car back!!!!!!!! :'( :'( >

Re:truck buying blues
today i let the wife drive the truck to work and it died when she pulled into the parking lot of her work and wouldn't restart so she called the dealer and had them bring are t.d.i.
volkswagon back to us and had them pick up there truck the tow truck driver got it running but it was bellowing white smoke and rattling real bad (he thought it might be the injection pump?) all i can say is i'm on the search again for another truck so if anyone knows of a good own let me know price range 10,000-25,000 must be a 4x4 ext. cab srw or drw :'(

Best wishes, car buying is a drag- and always a gamble IMHO.

Maybe you should let the little lady pick out the next rig (or at least help lots!), after all you are trading in her car??? They have good car buying logic at times. My lady and I looked at hundreds of Dodges and she (and I) only liked the one I finally bought.

MY BEST ADVICE: Never forget that YOU'RE the BOSS! If you aren't getting what you feel is fair, walk away. There are MANY other trucks out there. We men have a habbit (or maybe it's just me?) of buying on impulse when it comes to things that grunt and snort like a [glow=red, 2, 300]RAM[/glow]! Any comments?

Just a thought...

Pete

Re:truck buying blues
Think of it as a game (they do!). Give them a really low price and see if they bite. Works for me most of the time. When it does not just leave and make a small act and comments to the other customers on the way out!
The best advice I ever got is "You only get what you ask for!"
Then go find a non-dealer truck after you know what you are exactly looking for...
