Well just for fun today i decided i would try hooking the trailer up and checking the lights again before i started rewiring. To my surprise everything was working as its suposed to it started workin after i jiggled/pushed the plug in good. Oh well. guess thats good news for me, now i don't HAVE to rewire.

After pulling the plug, I found the brake control connection screw was rusted completely off and the ground screw was badly corroded. I would go ahead and replace/rewire the plug. Just my .02.

I've had this problem off and on through the years. Water gets in and causes corrosion which makes for bad contacts. Try putting some grease in each slot. This makes for better contact.

I wish my wiring problem was that simple. I have replaced the plug, and the front control module to no avail. Now I think it may be the Power control module or better known as the fuse box. My right hand lights work fine but my left turn signal and brake light do not. I have tried dielectric grease. I'm at a loss!

I don't know what color wire it is but i do know its the center terminal in the plug. you could use a multimeter and probe the wires until you found which one it is.
