Track Bar Is Now Silent

JUST BEFORE I LEFT ON MY BIG FISHING TRIP TO EASTERN OREGON I TRIED TO INSTALL MY LUKES ON THE TRACK BAR. AND TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT AFTER PUSHING PULLING AND JUST ABOUT NEAR EXPLODING I COULDN'T GET THE THING OFF OF THE FRAME SIDE. FIGURING THAT MY FISHING TRIP WAS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN GIVING MYSELF A HERRNEA I JUST PUT THE NUT AND COTTER PIN BACK IN PACKED UP AND LEFT THAT WAS 2 WEEKS AGO SINCE THEN I HAVE NOT HEARD A THING FROM MY TRACK BAR NOT A POP SQUEEK NOTHING! WHATS UP WITH THAT? I DON'T THINK I EVEN BUDGED THAT THING NO MATTER WHAT I DID TO IT. SO COULD IT JUST HAVE BEEN TO TIGHT AND I LOOSENED IT UP A LITTLE WHATS YOUR GUYS'S THOUGHTS?
THANKS MARTY

It is a tapered stud with a ball end. Even if you broke it loose from the frame, this would not have changed the slop which is between the ball end and the plastic cup.

Maybe the treatment you gave it scared it.

I don't know how it would have tightened up since the ball stud joint it what gets loose. I tried the hard way on my 2000 first with no luck, then I got a set of pickle forks and it came apart in about 15 seconds.

If you dont have a fork, hit it on the frame piece that it goes through with a bfh (big hammer) its hard to believe, but it works..
