Tow mirror conversion - have I screwed up?

Replaced the mirrors on my truck today with power tow mirrors. Did the passenger side first and all went well, after install it worked fine. Then I did the driver's side, was in a hurry, and pinched the wires. When I turned the key on to test, I must've blown a fuse somewhere. Neither mirror works now, and I noticed the radio is also dead. I've check the radio fuse and it's ok. I don't see a fuse for the mirrors. Am I missing a fuse? I've looked inside the truck and under the hood. Also, have I ruined the mirror, or should it be okay when I fix the wires? Biggest question is locating the blown fuse.

The mirror will be fine....fix the wires and then replace the IOD fuse. Should be #12 in the panel on the side of the dash. It's in a black holder gizmo....can't really check the fuse without removing it.

Mrclean, thanks for the reply. I did some research and am headed that direction. How does that blankety blank fuse holder open? Does it come completely out of the fuse panel or just open somehow so the fuse comes out?

It comes completely out of the fuse block. Did the same thing on mine. The wires go through the hole when you install the mirror. Mirror should be fine once recplaced as long as you fixed the wires first.

It's all working now. Replaced 2 fuses, IOD and cig lighter, taped up wires that were pinched to insulate, and everything was good. Most time consuming part of the whole deal was trying to find replacement clips to hold the door panels on. Turns out, no one had the Chrysler ones, but Ford makes an exact replacement, only black, that everyone had in bulk, but didn't know they crossed over.
