tow/haul switch going bad

Anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering if I should order a new switch from a dealer, or if there's another way to fix it. Have to push the button up to 20 times before it will shift in or out of OD.

If it does work after pushing the button repeatedly it sure sounds like the switch is bad.
Not sure on the price of the column mounted switch or if you have to replace the whole mess but the dash mounted switches are about $30.

If you can get at the switch contacts some aerosol electronic cleaner might fix it right up.

Thanks. I'll see if I can get to the switch and clean it. I think I'd like a dash mounted switch better than the column switch, if I have to replace it. Don't know how involved it would be to re-route the wiring to the dash, maybe not too bad.

Thanks for the offer on the column shifter, I may end up going that route. Gonna look into an aftermarket dash switch first, see what I can find.

Timberman, you do know that is not a Tow/Haul switch? It is overdrive off/on.

I was having the Same problem with mine, I pulled the switch out of the end of the shift lever disasembled it and polished the gold colored contacts with a pencil eraser reasembled and it works like new now. it was not hard to disasemble and put back together.
