Tire recommendations?

Any preferences out there? Need to replace mine soon. I have 265 Michelin LTXs on it now but I don't know how many miles on them since I bought the truck used. I've put on about 25k. Would like a bit more aggressive tire for the winter but also want to balance towing and highway quiet. Yeah, I know I want something that doesn't exist

regards,

I got the 285 toyo m/t's. Very happy with performance so far. Not as loud as expected. Supposed to last quite a while. Main complaint is how heavy they are 68lbs each. I noticed 2-3 mpg drop.

Toyo

M55 all the way if you want a serious tire.. If you are on a budget liberators from wally world have served me surprisingly well for 50K miles.. They are about to be replaced with the M55...

I will not dog BFG all terrains tho, just go 10 ply in those and the following and you are set.... Michelin XP highway or Extra traction radials. EXPENSIVE, but man they are tough.....

Check out the mastercraft courser c/t's. i got a set (285s) a couple of months ago. have about 5000 miles on them, and they still look brand new.

they are quiet, ride really well, and handle well on wet pavement. haven't done any hardcore wheelin yet, but they've done awesome in moderate offroad spots so far

Thanks for all the recommendations. As a follow-up, are there any pluses/minuses with going from 265 to 285 tires? 285s are probably more expensive.
Thanks,

another vote for the toyo mt's I have 38's on my 01 and I love em. I also deal with them on a daily basis and I am still amazed at the mileage and satisfaction customers are getting from them, the m55 is also a good tire

Got the bridgestone Revo's on recommendations from this board and so far like them but too soon to tell. My last set was Toyo Open Country A/T and for nearly a 1000.00 out the door they lasted maybe 25K which was disappointing. I just wasn't willing to spend even more for M55's. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I also have the Revos on my truck and love them. I have about 20k miles on them and they look brand new. As for towing, I have the "E" rated 26575r162. Since I had them, it has been night and day difference from the factory tires.

I'm on my second set of Bridgestone A/T Revos. They've worked quite well for me. Pretty good mileage out of them (I'm 40,000 km into the second set, and they are about half worn), pretty quiet on the highway.
