ticking noise from drivers side front
When I'm driving on the drivers side front there is a ticking sound. At first I thought maybe it was a rock or something because as I brake it slows down like a rock tumbaling around in the wheel or something. When I take of it picks back up and isn't steady it has its own pattern. Any thoughts?

I believe there is a restriction in your fuel flow, the ticking is your lift pump trying to push fuel through the block...
I had a piece of electrical tape in my fuel filter and that caused mine to do that...

My guess is a universal joint either on the axle or front shaft...or possibly the rear shaft. You said it slows down and picks back up relative to your speed....your fuel pressure should be fairly constant.
btw, welcome to the DTR club. Fill out your sig so we know what you're working with.

I don't think it has anything to do with the lift pump. Thats was ticking and I changed the fuel filter and it stopped. This is at my front driverside wheel, I know I need to replace the wheel bearing because its a little bit loose. But when a wheel bearing goes bad doesn't it usually HOWL. Not the ticking noise. I just had my track bar Luke's linked. It started right after that. Sound like a rock inside the center cap almost. (but theres not I checked)

Tick Tick Tick
Yes the bearing can make a ticking sound when its in the process of failing. Usually means the spacer ring between the ***** is broken or split, letting the ***** stack up when it turns.
When they start to "howl or grind" it means there is no lube left in the unit or its about to come apart.

try shooting some pb blaster or wd-40 in the cap ends of your u-joint, if it quits for a short time {like a couple minutes} then it will get louder or go back to a tick again, you need to change out your u-joint, the lube will help with getting them apart when you end up doing it anyhow. otherwise, I would start lookin at your hub assembly. could also be your dust cover for your break could be too close and rubbing on something?
