i like it. i wish i would have stumbled across it prior to re-doing my front end a couple years ago. sounds like the cost of yours and the cost of my stock/moog parts are quite similar - except yours will last 10x as long and handles much better!!!

now i can't wait for my front end to wear out again!!

so it looks like the only components prone to wearing out are the heim joints. unless you take a big impact underneath and bend something . . .

i like the adjustability also. nice and simple.

I don't know either way, but because rumors often (on the net) become concensus.... and concensus gets taken as fact, let me ask this......
Are heim joints specifically mentioned as NOT approved.... or are they simple not listed as approved?
Does anyone have DOT source material for this claim that Heims are not legal??

Heims are not road legal. I'm more worried about the stock equipment failing more so than the Thuren HD Steering. I have mine coming next week. I have the steering, adjustable track bar and fox stabalizer coming. Ther is a lot of stuff we do to our trucks that are not legal in the real world. Like the DPF delete, and so on. That does not stop anyone from doing so. Nice set up by the way.

Searching for a hr...can't find any info. Did find this......
The phrase 'DOT/SAE approved' should never be used. DOT does not have the authority to 'approve' or 'disapprove' motor vehicle equipment...
This quote is from the chief council for the NHTSA
Nation Highway Trafic Safty Association!
Now I'm confused.

Sorry if I remembered wrong as far as who said what, and how many times they said it. You ARE saying it here.
Point of my post was, can someone prove this claim. Inquiring minds want to know.

if the part is the "cause" of the accident and not dot certified, then there maybe a legal problem.
