are these tires good????

Ply ratings in radial tires are not an indicator of how many plies are in the tire. If you want to know how many plies are in the tire, look on the sidewall. It will tell you how many of each type of belt (polyester, nylon, steel) are in the tread and how many are in the sidewall. An LT295/75R16 8ply LRD has the same load rating as an LT265/75R16 10ply LRE, 3415 LBS. When someone asks for a 10 ply tire, they're looking for a LRE tire. 8 ply = LRD, 6 ply LRC. P metric tires are called 4 ply.
Never, ever, should you put LRC on a 3/4 ton or bigger truck. I don't care if your bro-in-law or cousin or whoever gave you a set for free off their truck and you think it's a good way to save some money. Take the set he gave you, put them on e-bay, and use the money to buy the proper tires.
