Temperature control stuck on HOT

And in Phoenix in August that really sux...

I replaced the temp control switch and no difference.

Is the temperature controlled by a valve to control coolant flow? or Is it controlled by a door to seperate the hot/cold air?

I've been searchin all night and found that I dont think there is a coolant valve but no straight answers.

Thanks for any help.

the temp control is done by the blend door..under the HVAC box there is a small motor that drives the blend door. you might have blown a fuse that powers this motor. sorry I don't know which fuse.
as a temporary measure you could disconnect both lines that feed the heater core and connect them together.

Thats what I wanted to hear, Thanks.... I drove it to work this morning and I have cold back but if I turn the temp dial up to warmer it doesnt get warmer until the dial is at max heat. Then when I turn it back to cold I don't get cooler until its to max cold. Basically I get the extremes but no middle temp?

More than likely it is the blend door actuator. Read up on it here. Lots of times it will sound like a rat or something crawling around in the glove box. A temporary fix is to pull the actuator motor out and manually move the door to the cool side, but all you will have is full cold, but better than full hot in Phoenix.
