Temp on overhead console

Does anybody know what the compass setting should be on for ny state?
also my temp reads -40 all the time, what should i check out?

read the manual it says how to calibrate the compass, if i recall it was something like hit a button and drive in a circle in a parking lot till it resets

It looks like NY state is in region 10.
A -40 temp display means an open circuit to the temp sensor.

Or its too cold
Switch to Celcius, the only place that F, & C are the same is at -40..
