At todays fuel prices it just about makes ya sick to fuel up. I just had to pay $2.86 gallon. Thank god I can usually get fuel off the job. We almost always have a 1000 gal. support tank for all the equipment. Don't even ask what color it is. "No sir thats the marvel mystery oil I added for conditioner".

Well, yeah, the bill at the pump will be high, but would you rather spend it in one shot, or a bunch of little shots ??

it all works out the same for the most part.

How much was that 60 gal tank ??

2 companys offer replacement tanks that go in the stock tank location. Both can be found on the TDR web site. Click on links and click on fuel. I have seen both tanks and can tell you that the Transfer flow tank is better made than the Aero tank. Alot of people have said negative things about Aero tanks. I have not had a problem and they installed it for me. Both companys are located in CA. Tranfer flows tank is 55 gal. and they say it will only fit a 4x4 long bed. Both tanks will hang 2" below the frame. My truck is a 2 wheel drive dually quad cab so I don't 4 wheel at all. I have never had a problem with it hitting anything on the construction sites I drive on. The Aero tank bolts to the frame and some supports. If I lived in a place that salted the roads I would have Line x or Rhino liner sprayed on it to protect it. I watched the guy install it and I could have done it. I can't remember the company but some place in Idaho makes a plastic (like stock) tank for duramax and was working on one for the Dodge that was around 50 or 60 gal. You use your stock fuel gauge. They just put the pickup in the tank lower with an adapter.

Well I just strap in a 100gal tank in the bend when I go in roadtrips. The frame is bolted down to the bed and the tank is strapped to the frame. Its a 100G semi tank. Got pix in gallery.

I have my stock 34 gal. tank and added an aux. 31 gal. (ATI tank) bolted in my truck bed under my tool box.

My hand calulated in-town MPG is 17.5 - 18 MPG.

Does anyone know the true amount of fuel left (reserve amount) when the low tank light goes on? Is is 4 gallons?
