Stuck bolt in upper control arms. How to get it out?
The bolts are stuck in both of the upper control arms on the frame side.
They wont turn inside the metal sleeve of the rubber bushing....tried an impact and also a breaker bar to turn the bolt. The breaker bar broke the impact socket I used
I've tried to thread the nut on the end with a socket on it and then hit the socket with a BFH. That didn't phase it.
Anyone have any tips?

same here.. they will need a sawsall or a torch to get out. you can get just enough space between the bushing and the hangar for a blade I think.
Its a lot of effort to just stick with the OEM control arms. Why not consider an upgrade or a lift now too?
Oh yeah.. dont try to press it out with too much force unless you support the material in the hangar around the bolt end with something. The metal hangar on mine distorted and still didnt give up the bolt.

With my truck, all 8 bolts were seized. The upper and lower on the frame side we were able to back out with an impact and someone hitting the back side with a hammer. The lowers on the axle side we were able to cut out with a Sawz-all. The uppers on the axle side we couldn't cut through the bushings. I ended up cutting the UCA's in half, removing the axle and then grinding off the bolt heads so we could pull them out

I never did get my own apart , i took them to the shop and let them do it. I asked how he did it once he was done, the mechanic told me the only easy way they have found to do it , is to get it up on the lift , and actually melt the head off of the bolt , then use the air hammer to drive it all the way though.

Got em out today. I sawz-alled the threaded end off, but couldn't saw the other side without screwing up the rubber and the bushing.
I ended up using an air dremel and ground down the bolt head until it was gone. Then the control arms came right out.
A press was the only way that I could get the bolts out of the bushings once I got em off the frame.
