Steering thump under drivers floor
Has anyone had a thump when you turn the wheel? It feels like its right under the brake pedal area in the floor. Ive got a new thuren trackbar on there and a new passenger side tie rod since the ball joint was bad.
Everything else in there looks good. The pitman arm balljoint seems to be solid as well as the steering knuckle ones. Im stumped!
The other thinkg I wonder is how well that thuren bar does when the ball joint is exposed to water and grit.. doesnt it get into the joint?

Have yuo had someone else trun the wheel back and forth while you look under the truck? Some of those things are hard to tell there's a problem with if they aren't moving. Yout steering box could be busting loose from the frame. I have heard this is a problem with some of the 2nd gens.

It may be in the steering column. I'm 100% sure I have the issue this mod is designed to fix.

There is a big thread on the issue over on the other site.
