Steering box brace

Ok I've read enough here to buy a Steering brace for my 02. I'm about to pull the trigger for a Custom-Diesel one. An important question for you guys who installed these braces.

With what or how did you torque the big nut to 185 ft lbs?? (from DSS's website). I've got 4 wrenches, 2 half-inch clicker types and neither go anywhere near that high (150 & 155). I really, really don't want to spend $200+ on another torque wrench just to use it once.

I just hit mine with the impact, then I just hit it with a socket and breaker bar to double check

x2. Then check it after putting some miles on it.

That's all I did. Impact to install, then checked it after a couple weeks.
It helps steering a lot, but don't expect miracles either.

Break over bar did it for me. Check it after driving a few times.

One of the best add-ons I have bought for my truck.

My 1/2" click type goes from 30 to 200 and I didn't pay anywhere near 200 for it.

You can check out (deposit required) a torque wrench from Autozone or some of the other auto stores. This is the route I went. Their torque wrenches are probably abused but it will get you in the ball park and then use the air gun.
