squeeky brakes
What would be causing my brakes to all of a sudden start squeeking at a certain pedal pressure while I am driving? The squeek is driving me crazy. >

There is a feeler on the pads that squeels to let you know that the pads are thin, or the damper spring on the pad may have been broken or not installed right. Just a couple of thoughts. A rear lining may have started to break loose.

Re:squeeky brakes
I have had squeaky breaks when the pads are still good.

A can of break cleaner and a cloth solved the problem.

Could just be a build up of break dusk. Pull the wheel off and check the condition of the breaks if they are good try cleaning them off.

Hope this helps.

I took it in, said everything looks good & front brakes have 80% left & rears have 60% left. They seem to squeek after I use them on mountainous trips I have been taking lately on weekends. During the week the squeek seems to go away. [undecided]

Mine squeek after riding on dirt roads with a lot of dust.

After a few stops, the dust goes away and they are fine after that.

phox
