i will put money on it being the brakes!
rinse really good and see. mine do it and after i rinse them they don't do it for a few days. stick the nozzle behind the wheel and spray.

I would agree the brakes, I have had tons of vehicles with semi metallic pad or more aggressive pads squeek for no reason what so ever.
That is why I prefer the old organic pads, they don't squeek, they don't kill your rotors, but they don't last as long.

Might go with the brake thing, because I've isolated the squeak to the driver's side wheel or close by - and there's pad dust on the driver's side skin, and not on the other side.
On the hand, my brakes are the originals. Never replaced them, never had to; 40K on the truck and an exhaust brake.

I had that problem... turned out to be the brake calipers. Pull it apart and check for cracked or brittle dust boots on the calipers. If their cracked, replace them!

Rinse the brakes really well, then hit the highway. Ensure there is no one behind you, and hit the brakes HARD until you stop. Do that a couple times, and it will take the glaze off from stop and go driving. It works for me.

Well,
Was going to put the new rotors and pads on today an let y'all know the outcome. Something much more important came up, it'll have to wait until tomorrow. My buddy got a permission slip to go riding today, we are taking the ATV's to a new place in Jacksonville Texas
I don't need no stinkin' brakes,

Changed the front pads and rotors today. Easy job.
Make sure you have a metric set of hex-heads to get the brake pins out (although they could be Torx, I'm not sure), I would tell you what size, but I don't have a metric set, I used the closest SAE one and stripped out the heads on 2 of the pins. Luckily, last time I did the brake pads, I remembered I had "come close" to stripping 2 of the pins, so I had 2 extra ready to go (but I forgot to get the correct metric hex head for them
).
To get the part of the caliper (part the pistons bolt to) off, I neaded a 12 point 5/8" socket (that I didn't have). I used a 12 point 5/8" wrench and a little sledge hammer to amplify the torque applied to the wrench. The biggest pain was pulling those 4 little washers (kind of like star washers) off of each side. There is one on every other lug stud.
The little driving I have done, I have not heard any squeak squeak
Will let you know if it reappears.

FYI, the squeak symptoms may relate to more than just brake issues. In my case, the sound and frequency matched hotdram's, but the problem with my truck was a single broken needle bearing in the driver's side axle-end u-joint. Replaced both axle u-joints with zerk-fitted units.
