Sport Headlight Wiring Question
I know this has been hashed todeath, but the 95 is stripped down for paint and I'm gonna upgrade to Sport Headlights when I reinstall all the removed trim and lights. I've been running the Summit Headlight wiring loom with relays that was on sale a few years ago need to know if I can upgrade the Summit wiring or would I be better off with some of the other options.
Thanks,
RR

It probably matters which summit loom you're running. Also, does yours pull directly from BOTH batteries, left battery for left bulbs and right battery for right bulbs?
I'm sure you could buy the parts and make it work; but you could probably sell your used summit setup and go with the suvlights setup for dual batteries and not have to worry about it.

it would be easier to build or buy a whole new harness than to 'upgrade' your current one. i built my own sport harness and it has been great. it is the same as the daniel stern one in the link above, also the same as the one which can be found at suvlights.com. the suv lights harness is ready to install, whereas the daniel stern harness kit is parts only, you supply the wire and labout to build it.

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!
The one thing that I liked about the Daniel Stern system is that I was able to build it. I took my time, soldered all the connections, used 12 gauge wire and was able to make the harness to the length that I wanted. Lots of guys are happy with the suvlights harness though.

Thanks for the replys guys. Due to my truck being on one battery (for the past 10 yrs) and based on your comments I'm going with the Stern option. Hadn't considered that some used both batteries with the Sport lights.
Thanks, RR

Using both batteries is an option, but I don't think it is necessary. Let us know how it turns out.
