Sound deadening and insulation the cab, Have some questions
I'm wanting to install some sound deadening material in the cab of my 2002. I plan on doing the floor, the back of the cab, the doors and maybe the headliner. I have to take one door panel off anyway to fix a few rattles, the clips on the bottom of the drivers door are loose. I fugred maybe i'll insulate the cab while I'm in there. I've seen that genos garage has two type of material on there site, a single sided and a double sided. Which is better to use and can i find this type of material in rolls locally? How much would I need to do a regular cab? I searched this but i didn't come up with much.

Sound Deadening
I sound deadened my 93 and it really made a difference in driving hiway. I used a roofing product. It is 6 inches wide and has foil backing on one side and the other is very sticky. I put that down on the floor, doors, side panels and the roof. Then I used contact cement to put on good rubber carpet padding on everything but the roof. It was a job but well worth it. If you have any questions pm me.

Im doing mine right now also. I went to Menards and bought a product called protecto-seal. It is a butyl based door and window flasing. Sticks to about anything. I am putting 4 layers throughout the whole truck. I am then putting down the garage door bubble foil insulation, on the floor and back wall, also on the headliner. I am also taking batts of insulation and placing them in plastic garbage bags, sealing them with spray adhesive (water tight) and lightly placing them in the ex. cab hollows.
I read on a D-max site of a guy who did the same process as I am doing. He took decible readings before and after and it dropped 19db.
Whatever product you buy, make sure its butyl based. Otherwise the truck stinks from the ashpalt products.

Thanks for the information, I'll be making a trip to the local home depot, lowes or menards this week.
