Sweet truck! Well...tint the windows dark and it'll be sweet. $25,000 is a bit high around this neck of the woods, but if you're paying cash, you should be able to get about $2,000 or so knocked off. Good luck! I'm looking to buy too!

If I had bought that truck I'd have never bought mine. I really like the 2nd gen body style and seats much better! Nice looking truck

Hold out for 18k and see what happens, make them sweat!

you won't be saving any money, but it looks good. I gave 18g for my 01' loaded, with ranchhands front and rear and tons of goodies. Just saw a 98' 12v qc 4x4 for 10g in the paper.

well I got them to reduce the price to 23 but there are two things that need to be done the radio is gawd awful it wont turn on half the time, and the **** to turn it up and down is fubar you have to turn it a bajillion times in the wrong direction to get it to turn up or down and it wont turn all the way down. So they have to fix it or give me a check for a new head unit. Second is I have driven three diesels in my life a 01 powerchoke an 04 CTD and a 02 Durasmack and none have had a bad smell in cab until this CTD and I am tryin to look out for my health cuz when I was driving it I could smell a diesel smell in cab and my dad said it was makin him naucious.... so any ideas?

Don't know about Diesel smell in the cab, but the first 600 or so miles after an oil change you will be able to smell the oil.

$23,000 still seems a it high, maybe it's just me. Whats KBB and NADA say about it? Does it have any other modifications that you can see?

I would venture to say 21 is good, if they fix the radio and make sure the warranty is transferrable. I paid a bit more for my '02 but it only had 8,000 miles on it. When you add in the cost of "extras" like the grille guard and side steps (girls really like the steps ) I think your getting a pretty fair deal. I would definitely check into the diesel smell though, if it was bad enough to be making your passenger sick, there might be a problem. As it was said earlier it is not abnormal for these trucks to smell a little after an oil change but the smell should not be overwhelming. Check for an exhaust leak under the cab, maybe? If it is the exhaust, thats another bargaining chip. Look for any flaws, even if you can live with them, the dealer doesnt know how important it is to you, some people are **** about the most ridiculous things. Also keep in mind these shortbed quad cab diesels are not as plentiful as some other models, I had to search, as I am sure you did to find one in my area. Other than that, good luck and keep us posted!

I like 21G better. I paid $25,000 for my 01, but it only had 30K miles, of course that was 2 years ago, so it may not be relavant.

As stated, be a jerk. Check over the thing very well. Remember, the used car market isn't what it was a few years ago. There are (and have been) so many crazy incentives and rebates that a lot of people couldn't afford NOT to buy new. By the time you looked at paying 6-8% a year to finance, there wasn't much of an argument. If I were looking for a used truck I would be very particular with it.

You're crazy if you pay $21,000 for a truck with 200,000 miles on it. I'd stay as far inside the 100,000 mile warranty as possible so I had time to check everything out before it ran out. In fact, that's what I'm doing right now. Gonna get an 01 truck with 85,000 miles on it for $20,000 out the door.

Wellllll, now If I had a chance to get one with 20,000 miles I would consider that first anyway. Low miles makes a big diference (to me at least).

Whats with the other 02?

So you've established that there are better deals to be had, thats a good thing.
