Should I trade and for how much?

I have a 98.5 (see sig) dodge and I have a friend that has an 05 ext. cab short box, auto, pretty much same thing as mine, but with 55,000 miles. He cant afford the payments on it and wants to trade. How much should I offer him to trade, or if I sold mine outright, what should I ask for it. I really want an 05 6 speed, but this seems like a good opportunity since I wont have to go through the hassle of getting mine sold

Check values at Kellybluebook.com to get an ideal. A guy short on money might go for $1,000 less then the difference. You would get a good deal and not feel bad for taking advantage of his plight.

I just almost picked up a loaded 05 handshaker 4x4 for 14,000. It had 118k on it but it was a nice truck, just food for thought.
