seat wiring
i have a 2000 dodge with power seats on the drivers side, i found a set of heated leather seats , power both sides out of a 01. on the harness under my seat theres only 3 wire i believe and the other ones have 8, 3 for power on each side + 2 for the heated leather..can i splice the wires on my side to give power to the other side and then run a different wire for the heated leather?? dodge tole me i would need a whole new wiring harness so im not going that way..can i make them work?? thanks

What you describe sounds plausible. I think the seat motors would be fine off the same power source. They are not likely to run at the same time.
However, as you alluded, the seat heaters definitely need a separate fused circuit. When I started modding my '06, i used a separate fuse block that has a relay and fuses...the one I linked to has 4 key-on circuits and 3 constant-on circuits. It bought be enough room to power my gauges, air compressor, and other stuff that I haven't thought of yet!
edit: Looking over the heaters at Geno's and the link to the heater install, looks like you'll need 10A per seat heater.
