Seat-Swapping, Seatbelt Light issues?

Hey there-
I just swapped in a set of leather quad cab seats from a 2001 into my 1999. My '99 had the SCTM system, with wiring up the wazoo; the 2001 did not have anything but 3 wires on the driver's side for the power. We tapped into the power leads for the driver's side seat power, but could not figure out which wire we needed to ground (or give 12v to) to make the stupid seatbelt dash light go out! I've searched, and most people posting diagrams have only used them to figure out how to unlock the solenoids on their older seats, but these don't have the soloenoids.

Any help is appreciated!!!
Thanks
Mack

I did it on my 98 and can tell you how if it ever stops raining here. You will have to put a 5 watt resistor in the harness under the seat for each soleniod but I don't remember what ohm and which wires.

OK, cut the plugs off the old seat that go to the soleniods(leave yourself at least 1 inch of wire). Connect a 5 watt 56 ohm resistor between the orange wire and the black with a green trace. This will fake the module into thinking the soleniods are still there and turn the light out.

Hmm, I no longer have the old seats. Is there a way I can 'ground' the seatbelt light or the SCTM module? As a last resort I guess i'll just pull the bulb out of the dash cluster, but I don't really want to tear that apart......

I pulled the dash cluster and removed the light.

Grounding something ain't going to do it. The SCTM looks for the soleniods and if it doesn't see the correct resistance its going to turn the light on.

You can probably do it without the plugs by the wireing diag. Look for the wire colors I said and you'll have to figure out a terminal that you can plug into the SCTM wiring.
