Rebuilding a hydrabooster

I was wondering if anybody has tried to rebuild the hydrabooster on our trucks? Mine has recently just started leaking and has become bad enough that I will lose almost all of my power steering fluid in about two days :'( . I went to my local Dodge house (silly me :) and they say no rebuild kit, but they will happily sell me a whole new unit for 500$ . Napa says they can get me one for 230$ , but Im still optomistic about the rebuild [undecided]. But I may be wrong :'(
Any help is appreciated
Wheels

Re:Rebuilding a hydrabooster

Sorry if my first post left you needing more info :. I guess what Im referring to as a hydrabooster is what most actually call a brake booster. Also thought you should know that I am leakin between the "brake" booster and the brake master cylinder. It is leakin bad enough that if I dont keep my power steering fluid full everyday my brake pedal and my steering wheel will start to HUMMMM really loud and you can actuallly feel it through the pedal and the steering wheel .Maybe this will clear things up a little bit
Thanks again
Wheels

Re:Rebuilding a hydrabooster

I've done it before but if you can't get the seals for DC your'e
out of luck. I don't know of any aftermarket co. that will sell them. You need to ask DC if they have a seal kit not a rebuild kit for it. If they do pump the brake with engine off until there is no more assist then carefully seperate the two halfs. There should be a seal that looks like a figure 8 and the piston seal that looks kind of like a wheel seal with no metal. The two halves are a little tricky to get back together but not bad(a third hand would of helped).
