Rear Brake lines....ruptured

Hello all,

can anyone tell me the size, is it a standard size, of the rear line to my disc brakes?

I had fronts done. While the truck was sitting still, the brake line just broke and began to drip.

I want to replace...what size is this one line? Looks like it runs along the DS frame and behind the fuel tank.

thank you

Line is 3/16", I found 2, 60" and a 30" is just about perfect for an ext. cab, shorter for std. Get yourself those lines, and 3 connectors, and replace her front to back. PS make sure you get the right line up at he front when you do it, I got in a hurry one day and cut the wrong line.

My 1997 truck had the same thing happen. It didnt affect the front brakes, it just drained the reservoir after a while.

You should just get stainless steel ones since you're replacing yours. Don't just replace something-upgrade it!

I had one go in the same area behind the fuel tank on my 2000. Had to drop and shift the tank over to get at it. Found that there was a rub area and a water drip which rusted it out. I put a new line in and cut a piece of rubber hose to go over that area and then zip tied it.
