Questions for caster gurus
I've been reading lots of threads about the proper caster for our trucks and I still need some clarification on some points.
Assuming stock suspension, no lift:
1. When looking at the eccentric bolt and the notches on the cam as well as the notches around it on the control arm; am I correct that as the cam goes toward the front of the truck the caster is getting more positive in degrees and therefore going toward the rear caster gets more negative?
2. Would the caster be close to 0 degrees when the cam is lined up with the very top notch?
3. When you guys are adjusted to the desired 3.2 or 3.5 degrees positive where is your cam located, as in, what notch is the center of the cam pointing to?
Thanks guys in advance.

Anybody, anybody?
I think this info would be very helpful to those DIY'ers out there, especially if there is a general consensus about the position of the cam relative to the notches.

My straight tracking problems ended when front end was tight, I had paid for a lifetime alignment at Firestone, Caster was set at 3* and tire pressure was set at 65#. You can play with the cams all day to see how they work but won't know where you are until you measure. Don't over think.

Still curious though if the cams are pointing to about the same notches on our trucks that are set at ~3.5 degrees. Junkman, can you tell me where yours are pointing? Thanks.
