Quad cab door squeaks

Quad cab door squeaks
Any time I go over a bump where the frame has to flex the quad doors squeak like crazy. I took the truck to doug smith dodge where I live and if anything they made it worse and told me I would just have to expect and live with it. What I expect is if you spend 34000 on a truck the doors dont squeak and my question is does anyone have the same problem and what have you done about it?
thanks

Have an 02 Quad Cab and have the same problem with the doors. Suggestion is to take some Armorall protectant wipes (or equivalent) and periodically mostien the rubber moldings. This will minimumize the friction and the squeaks. Best of luck.......

Welcome to life with a Dodge! Seriously though, I'd talk to another dealer, just to see if they could do anything.(maybe even a reputable body shop) I'm like you too, I HATE rattles and squeaks. Makes ya wonder why I bought a Dodge. Oh ya, the Cummins!

Just thought I would add my thoughts. I would stay away from Armour all and substances of the like. They can and often do, break down rubber parts. Instead, look for a pure silicone spray. Put on rag and wipe by hand. Protects and stops squeeks.

This is the advice of a few local detailers.

Dave

Re:Quad cab door squeaks
To believe that only Dodges extra 1-2 doors squeek is like kinda silly as Chevy's 3 door had lots of problems with this problem as well, even with there superior indepenent front suspension which is supposed to reduce frame twist. Ford is the least squeaky but designed theirs instead to pack mud under the doors and the extra weather trim falls off easily. I dont see where any of these guys is ahead of the other as the trade offs are numerous. Powdered talc or silicone spray seems to reduce insanity on all brands, rainy weather means more squeaks.PK

Re:Quad cab door squeaks
I had a 99 chevy zr2 that squeaked from day one, very annoying. My dodge has 120,000 miles and squeaks aren't too bad. A couple months ago, I wrapped electrical tape around the top and bottom loops (not sure what to call them)on the doors. It seemed to make a difference.
