I recieved a call from a good friend of mine today saying his truck just bit the dust, his is 00' ctd and it recieved a pusher last month, well he started it drove 50 feet and poof! done. so he calls me sure the pump just took the long nap of death...I went to get him and tossed in a good relay and voila she was runnin' it did not toss any codes and seemed to run correct but I thought I would post this:

ever happen to anyone else? yes- what was the outcome?
I was fortuneate enough to have the salvage yard guy give me a handful of the relays so I donated one to my buddy but I strongly encourage everyone to have a spare or two!

BTW his truck has 145,000 miles if it matters to anyone.

It could be just a dirty contact inside the relay that cause the problem. Very rare for a relay to burn up. But has happen before...

When I changed out my fuel line and fuel pump and I was trying to prime the system back up, the relay quit on me. I let it sit for a while and it suddenly started working again.
