power steering pump install

Turns out my PSP is leaking from the front(shaft?)So gonna buy a new one tomorrow. Any suggestions or tips on the install(done a thousand on gas motors,no diesels). Thanks

Cummins sells a kit to fix it, about $10 if I remember. I'm not at home now so can't give you the part #.

Are you sure it's leaking power steering fluid ? There is a repair for the seal between the PS pump and vacuum pump if that's your problem instead.

Its power steering fluid for sure. Turn the wheels and it POURS out. Up to a quart a day now! just picked the pump ,fixin to put it on!
