Pics of the new truck

Cool...I got the SB Con OFE kit that included a new flywheel and ball bearing pilot bearing.....Their is one more thing regarding 5-speeds...There is one weak point in them...The 5th gear nut likes to fall off...Heard it doesn't cause damage, but could be a really pain if your 200 miles from home...There is up grade nut that could be discused later....Just to be safe, don't do to many heavy power lanchs from 4th to 5th gear...That seems to knock the 5th gear nut off

Hey,
looks like a pretty decent truck you scored there!
In Dad's 5 speed the nut spun off while pulling a load of scrap metal. it took him over a year to get it fixed so he was running in 4th for a long time.
For $3500 with a 5 speed. not sure im guessing that is a good price because i have seen autos for $3000 but they were 4x4. and then there is my truck which i got for $1500...
Good luck! your gonna love the 12 valve

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...=3rd+gen+turbo
post number 12 has the link to the full write up from cumminsdriver635 i think his came off an 05 if that makes a difference but it looks like the turbo itself bolts up. just need to make the down pipe and intercooler hook up right.

thats the write up by Big Blue24 i think its a more detailed write up. his is a 24v though.

what are you guys running for intakes. i know that every company sells them but i don't want to put a $300 intake on there when i can make my own for less than a $100. so if someone has made their own let me in on what all you did.
Thanks,
Eric

Yeah I know I need gauges but I also know how to keep out of the pedal to keep the egt's down. Also I found a bhaf online for $50 shipped that was a donaldson brand. Sounds like a good price to me. Also does it just clamp into the intake where the box is right?
Thanks,
