Passenger side humming
Hello all. New to the list and glad to find you. Here's my delimma. Just bought a 2000 CTD 2500. New tires, front end allignment, and brakes. I am getting a louder and louder humming noise from the front passenger side wheel area. Anyone ever have this happen to them? The tires are wearing abnormally on the outside edges. Here's the funny part. It only hums when turning to the left. Really prominent at highway speeds. Any thoughts? ???

Check your air pressure. I don't think this is the problem, but you may have gotten a bad batch of tires. I'd take it back to the place you got it aligned and show them the odd wear of the tires and see if they won't realign it for free. Mine did that but my alignment is off.

May be a long-shot, but check out this TSB if it's not tires or alignment..<br>TSB 09-04-99 "Hard To Diagnose Noise Coming From The Engine Turbocharger Area"<br><br>This shouldn't apply to a 2000 truck .. but you never know.

Re:Passenger side humming
After talking with a few parts guys, the problem ended up being the right front wheel bearing. R&R'd yesterday. Magic - no more humming! <br><br>Thanks to everyone who responded. By the way, I talked with a few other people who own 2000 2500's or 3500's and they all said this exact same thing on the same side of the truck happened to them around 60K miles. <br>
