Passenger Door Lock Button Disappeared

Passenger went to lower window and buttons fell into door interior. I can see them sitting there about 4 inches down.
Anyone been there and seen this?
Did a quick search and found nothing. Haven't had time to dig out FSM yet.
Just looking for easiest fix from anyone that may have gone here before me?

Sounds like the plastic clip holding the switch to the bezel broke. Not 100 percent sure about the Dodge, but I have fixed many on GMs with superglue.

Thanks, Quick look at the bezel and can't see how it comes out.
Or do I need to remove the entire door panel?

Need to remove the door panel I believe, then it will become apparent what you need to do.

The door panel comes off fairly easily and once in there you will easily see the switches. If youa re unlucky like me, when I pulled my door panel off, most of the plastic christmas tree rivet things that hold the panel to the door will stip and/or break. Cheap to replace at parts store though.

i repaired mine with epoxy glue, no you don't have to remove the panel, just remove the screws holding the pull cup and remove it.then unplug the wiring harness, you can pry the bezel that holds the switch up and access it.........i hope you can understand my vague directions

Yup. There are spring clips on either end of the switch bezel that hold it into the door panel. If you are careful, you can pry the entire switch holders out. I have done it on my 97 a few times.

Also, the switches aren't high tech. Once you get the bezel out and the wires off, you can pop the switches out of the bezel as they are clipped in. After that the switch itself pops apart with two small screw drivers and you can repair the rocker assembly, buff the contacts etc. I had to clean all my switches as they stopped working in the doors and the power seat. They are pretty crude switches.

I use a small spatula to remove the switch panel. Pull the door pull cup (2 screws) then slide the spatula inside the upper rear side of the switch panel. It should push the spring clip in to let you raise the switch panel out of the door panel.

Exactly right.

John,
Worked pefectly.... and super glue did the trick for me!
With the 'pull cup' out, I reached the bezel's rear spring clip with my finger and the bezel poped right out!
FWIW - Much easier and safer, IMO, than prying up the bezel to get to the spring clip.
Would have been a 10 min job, but I could not believe what 9 yrs of dust from many dirt roads looked like, under the bezel! Done, incl. cleanup and searching for some super glue, in 30 min.
Cleaned up the drivers side later in the day!
Thanks to all.
