Is the pencil looking thing (Orfice) that is in the Evaporator tube replaceable or does the WHOLE low pressure tube need to be replaced ??

I do believe you need to cut the orifice tube section out of the liquid line. They're not installed at the very end near a connection. They're put into the line before the bends are made and then crimped into place so it doesnt move in the line. They make kits you can buy which includes a short (about 4") section of pipe with with ferrelled ends. You located the orifice tube in the line, usually verified by the crimped area. The you cut the section out where the orifice tube is, then install the kit with the 4" piece of pipe. To be honest its much easier to just replace the whole line with a new one with the tube already installed.

Well I see theres a ton of the repair kits available for Ford's and GM products but I dont see one for the Dodge Ram. Have you taken the liquid line off the truck yet? Thats the line that goes from the condensor to the firewall (evaporator). If you have it off, see if you can see the orifice tube in either end, most likely closest to the condensor. If not, then its inside that line somewhere (look for the crimp). Then call some parts stores and see if you can find the orifice tube repair kit.

No one around here has heard of this "Repair Kit".
Where can I get this repair kit ???
Cheapest I've seen for that line is $118.

I just bought the OEM liquid line with the orifice tube already installed in it for something like 58$. If youre inside the dash may as well replace anything thats a possible wear item

Yeah, I say just get the new line with the tube in it if you're having a hard time finding the kit. The kits usually run around $30 so if Kawi600 found a line for $58 then i'd go that route. Then you wont have 2 more added connections that could possibly leak.

You're looking for the liquid line with orifice tube. This is what I found from ACSource.com
Verify that it comes with the Orifice Tube though because I see a lot of the lines for sale without the tube installed. You dont want that.
