no heater motor, fuse good!
Hi you all! My early 98 12 valve waited until -1 to no blower for the heater. I don't know where the motor's wiring is and don't know what type of controls are involved? Any help would be appreciated.... before the spring thaw anyways..... signed, CHILY in IN

Blower motor
artieb, I would check your Blower motor resistor.
It is located next to the Blower motor on the passenger side, bottom of the dash towards the fire wall. It has 2 scews holding it in,and one plug with three wires.

You might also just try unplugging the connector and then back in. I had the same thing happen to me once. Unplugged connector and back in again. No problems since. Got that tip out of the Haynes manual.

ok, I did get the blower to work, someone cut the green blower wire and went to the fuse block under the hood. They used an old 30 amp glass fuse that appeared to be good and tested bad! I would assume that the blower controls use the ground to do blower speed? Also, my heat even with a blower sucks, I seen on the behind the dials a plastic rack & pinion connected to a small steel cable for heat control, where is the other end go? I know the mixer door, where is that? I should get the heater working while it's tore down some. Thanks, Artie
