need ac line and have questions

I removed the condenser when I pulled the engine last year. I put my condenser back on and charged the system to find the condenser had a leak. So I picked up a new condensor, but the "quick connect is damaged....and well broken that is just above the lower port on the condenser.

Is there anyway to repair it? Or do I have to replace the entire line to the firewall? I stopped by a dealer , and walked out....so I need that line I think from the firewll to the lower port of the condenser. I was told that line is quick connected at the firewall too? I have no idea how these "quick connects" work either.....they seem stupid, and I have the tool yes.....

Anyone have that line they can sell or know the part number or a place to get it? Its a 98 12 valve....which I can actually argue with the dealer on its mear existence....

What you are describing is the Liquid line, also contains the orifice.

Dodge part number 55055834AA, which is superceded by 55055834AB, Net pricing on moparpartsamerica.com is $62.35 each

They are also available aftermarket, 4 seasons part number 56828, rock auto has them for $41.79, you can go to their website to look at the line to make sure it is what you are describing.

Good luck, and if you need more, let us know.
