Moto Metal 951's

I am thinking of getting a set of them, am thinking of some 17x9 chrome 951's, but I dont want to run a 35" tire, I just got 35" on my current rims and they roll too hard, want to go back to some 33"s, would I be better off getting a 16x9 wheel over a 17x9? I love the looks of a 17" wheel, but wonder if 16" have any advantages.

Want a somewhat aggressive tire that will wear good, something other than BFG all terrains, was thinking of some Dick Cepek Radial FC-IIs.

Anyone have any pics of their truck with chrome 951's? 16" or 17"?

personally I like the idea of 33" on a 17. Less rubber means less flex, less vagueness over bumps. Also means the tires should get to temp faster and stick nice.
I really wanted 18s but it seems rubber in that size is extra expensive.

I just did some checking, I can get a set of 16x9 Moto Metal 951 chromes, and 4 33x12.5x16 Dick Cepek Radial FC-II, for $1359. I was looking at 17" rims, but That package will be at least $1800. $1359 sounds dang cheap, I might go for it...

Thanks I got a really good deal on them when I bought them off friend of mine with the 295's on them. I like my 35's on them now just have to watch crossing a ditch and turning at just right angle with just a leveling kit the tire cleats try to rub back of fender not bad but just something you might want to be aware of. Other thing When i was looking for tires it seems 17's didnt have as many tire choices.

Only thing I am wondering about is the 16x9 wheel, if that width will make a 285/75/16 wheel look "ballooned" cause the rim is so wide.

I don't think you will have a problem with that.

Well, I just ordered the 16x9 wheels, 30% off, great price on them. Im gonna get some Dick Cepeks from a local shop when they come in, either 285's or 305's, gotta compare them.

I am getting some moto metal 955 wheels, 17 x9's, I do have a 2 inch leveling kit, how big of a tire can I run on these wheels without rubbing. I think the 955's have the same back spacing as yours. thanks
