Mirror design change?
Hi, everybody,
Forgive the stupid question but in what year did the design of the mirrors change from the chrome ~1/2" dia. bent posts to the all-plastic pieces? Thanks.

I think it was around 97 as well. The big towing mirrors that flip up are really great.

I think 98 was the first year for all plastic mirrors. My 97 had metal posts with chrome housings.

I test drove a 99 with chrome towing mirrors prior to purchasing my 01. However, they could have been add-ons...

98 was in fact the crossover year... First year of the Quad cab and first year of the plastic mirrors...
