Y'all make me feel good. I get 18.5 running in town, and 11.x pulling our fifth wheel. All hand calculated as I don't have the computer display. I ususally hear people say they get way better than mine. I had a VA box, but it was costing me about 1 MPG, so I sold it. I would like to find a mild towing box with a MPG setting for when not towing.

I'd like to see some of the milage #s posted with what rear gears you're running. From what I've read it can make a pretty big difference. I know driving style and mods make a difference as well, just thinking that the difference between 3.57 and 4.10 is pretty big when it comes to highway rpms.

I'm getting right around 18 mpg, mostly back roads to work. Towing I get between 10 and 11.

17 to 19 every tank. Most of the driving is rural/highway with no more than 1000 lbs load.

My 98 2500 with auto trans and 4:10 re is pretty consistent at 18 mpg empty and 13-14 pulling 24' fifth wheel trailer. It only has 76,000 miles on it so maybe not broken in good yet. Just replaced the oem batteries this week that came in it new. Completely stock with no mods whatsoever.

I just got 370 before light went on, that's with a bit of 4wd use and warming up for a few minutes. I'll probably get better mpg during summer and some mods (exhaust/intake)
