May Have Gotten Screwed
Thought I was doing some good when I flew to Abilene and bought a 2002 6 speed HO. Talked to the previous owner a few times before I went, mechanically sound he would drive the truck anywhere. I went and bought the truck but check for codes before i gave up the cash. Drove the truck 6 hrs back to houston with no problems. Next day I put a fuel pressure gauge on the truck, idles at 12 psi normal driving holds 10 psi. Would'nt know it, i check the codes again today and I got a 0230 and a 0216. Been driving the truck for 4 days now with no loss in fuel pressure. any ideas on why I have both codes now with good fuel pressure. Maybe he had the codes reset before I showed up. any thoughts in the 2 codes with no driving issues. Lift pump is in the tank and he had a injector pump installed at 98,000.

Depending on what u paid I wouldn't say u got screwed. Replacement of IP on these trucks is going to happen sooner/later. Fill in ur sig, monitor fuel psi, clear codes and keep going.
