That may be the preferred option for some. For me, I never did like the look of the truck sitting so high in the back. The lowering solves that problem, the towing level problem and makes it slightly easier load/unload from the bed. This option is also less expensive.

As a side note, the lowering option may meet the needs of those wanting to tow a 5er who don't currently have enough clearance over the bed sides.

I understand. I really don't care much for some of the lifted trucks I see on the road. My son has a 6" lift on his Chevy 2500 and it's tough for my 53 year old fat behind to get in and out of. I certainly don't want to see him get hurt but I wonder what he'll think about that lift if he has to make a rapid lane change at 75 mph?

You may see a little better handing..with the centre of gravity will be better.I dropped three inchs in the back and want to drop the front by 2 1/2 inchs. My truck is not used for heavy use...It just became a toy over the years...I don't even have a use for a dually, but they sure corner nice with those extra training wheels...And I like the look of a dually...Nice fab job on the spacers "dkinzer"....
