Not sure about this.

Diesels need two of these (one for each side/battery).

It's totally worth it.

Why do you need two of them? When I built mine I just needed two relays, one for hi and one for low. Taped into one battery. If you are planning on getting this kit I would check on this first.

I contacted suvlights.com and they recommended the following sets:

You only need one set of these (for a two lamp system):

You need two sets of these only if you own a Dodge Ram Sport (four lamp system):

Because you powered both low beams on one relay, and then both high beams on another relay (you lose one relay and both lows or highs go out).
This setup is much better, independent relays. Better power, shorter wire run, and better when a relay dies.

Hi KKRRSS,
So I am a bit confused. I don't have sport headlights and never plan to install them either. I will retain the 2 light system that is there now. The price difference between the kits is $30.00, and the extra price gets me 4 relays instead of 2. Would my application benefit from, or need the 4 relay system? In my case I won't need 2 sets though - right?

Without sport headlights, you don't need the setup like I have it; I assumed you were going whole hog

The sport headlights were a major improvement!

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!

If your gonna do the relays, do the sport package headlight upgrade also.

YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW IN THE DARK YOU HAVE BEEN.

kinda like before we found this site!!!!

But all joking aside, the standard headlight package is very close to being dangerous. Save if you can, sell something if you must, but put the sport headlight package on. It is right up there with seat belts in my books.
